We’re proud of the work St. John Ambulance does to support local non-profits, charities, and other community-building groups around Victoria. We’ve been active in Victoria since 1911, and every year we help provide dozens of organizations with first aid support at hundreds of events. Here are just a few of the of groups and events that we’ve provided first aid or event medical support to over the years:

Since the 1990s
We’ve provided first aid support, including bike squads, first aid tents, and mobile first aid units, for the Victoria Marathon.

Since 2013
We’ve provided first aid support during the build-phases of most of the incredible projects mounted by Hero Work.

Since 2015
We’ve run a weekly street-outreach first aid clinic at Our Place. We’re there every Tuesday from 10 – 12 in the morning.

Since 2017
We’ve run a street-outreach first aid clinic at the Rock Bay Landing shelter. We’re there every Thursday from 10 – 12 in the morning.

Four of our members in Victoria have received St John Ambulance Gold Life Saving Awards through the course of their work with Victoria Cool Aid Society.

For many years – longer than we have active records – we’ve been honoured to provide first aid support for Legion Branches 172 and 292, as well as Legion Manor, at events including the City of Victoria’s Remembrance Day ceremony, the God’s Acre Candlelight Tribute Ceremony and other events that support and honour Canadian veterans.
