Learn life-saving skills, make friends, and build your resume.

St. John Ambulance Cadets is a youth program for people aged 12–18 who want to develop real first aid skills, take on leadership, and make a difference in their community — no experience required.

For Youth

You’ll be trained by experienced first aid instructors, first responders, paramedics, and community leaders — covering both the foundational skills and the real-world techniques that actually make a difference in an emergency.

As a cadet, you’ll build a strong foundation of practical first aid skills and develop real leadership skills in a hands-on, team-based environment. You’ll grow in confidence and capability alongside people who share your interests.

For Parents

The St. John Ambulance Cadet program is a structured, supervised youth activity run by certified first aid instructors and experienced community leaders. Your child will develop core first aid skills and meaningful leadership experience in a team-based environment.

We’re confirming details — meeting times, location, and fees — as we build toward our September 2026 launch. Email us and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

A Legacy Relaunching in Victoria

St. John Ambulance is the world’s oldest continually operating charity, with an international cadet program that has set young people on paths to success for generations. Division 61c served Victoria for 47 years, and we’re proud to be bringing that tradition back — recruiting our founding 2026–27 class now, with a September 2026 start.
